Worship is the translation of two combined Greek words meaning "toward" plus "to kiss."
Worship is the translation of two Greek words combined, meaning "toward" plus "to kiss." This Greek word combination is the most frequent word rendered to worship. "Worship" means to do reverence to.
How striking! Worship means to kiss towards. In a way, it is like blowing a kiss to someone. We do reverence towards God, in a much greater, deeper way of course, similar to the way someone would blow a kiss to another person.
It is also interesting that this same word above, is used in worship to God, to Christ, to a man, to the Dragon, to the Beast, the image of the Beast, to demons and to idols. This is indeed the most common word for worship.
What is the relationship between kissing towards-worshipping Jesus and his meeting your needs?
In Scripture, there is a connection between the worshippers and their needs getting met. Sometimes, they worshipped before they even made their needs known. Some times they had their needs completely met before they worshipped at all.
The case of the leper
Take the case of the leper below. He came and worshipped before he told Jesus what his need was. Can you not see here? It made no difference to Jesus whether he worshipped first and then presented his need or presented his need first
and then worshipped after his need was met.
Matt 8:2-3
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (KJV)
The same is true concerning the certain ruler below. He also kissed toward-worshipped first and then got his need met.
Matt 9:18-19
18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. (KJV)
Next we have a case in which Jesus met their need before the kissed toward-worshipped him. Peter was up to his neck here and Jesus saved him. The ones in the ship were apparently in no danger. Nevertheless, after it was all over, the kissed toward-worshipped him.
Matt 14:28-33
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. (KJV)
Finally we meet a situation concerning a woman from Canaan whose daughter was vexed by a demon. The first thing she did was cry unto Jesus for mercy.
The second thing that happened to her was the disciples wanted Jesus to send her away.
The third thing, here, was her coming to Jesus to kiss toward-worship him.
Even Jesus told her that he came only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. She was not of that house. He even likened her to feed the dogs with the children's bread.
Notice closely, her need was not met when she kissed towards him.
Nevertheless, Jesus solved the problem for the daughter.
Matt 15:22-28
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. (KJV)
What we can get from the above to build our faith up
What can we get from this. The timing of your kiss towards-worship means less to Jesus than the fact that you kiss towards-worship him. Neither will it matter that much whether you present you need before you kiss toward-worship or kiss toward him first.
Build your faith on this. Worship and then present your need or present your need and then worship. These all go together. Jesus love for you is not contingent upon the order above.

Upraised Hands
"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting." (I Tim. 2:8)
Clap Hands
"O clap your hands all ye people: shout unto God with the voice of triumph" (Ps. 47:1) Noise (shout) "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands." (Ps. 100:1).
Leaping
"Rejoice ye in that day and leap for joy: for, behold your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets" (Luke 6:23).
Praying Together
"And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hath make heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is" (Acts 4:24).
Groaning
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God" (Rom. 8:26,27).
Weeping
"Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews" (Acts 20:19).
Falling in Trance
"And when it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance." (Acts 22:17)
Dancing and Running
"Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His Name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp." (Ps. 149:2, 3)
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous runs into it and is safe." (Proverbs 18:10)
Quivering Lips
"For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people." (Isa. 28:11).
Shaking
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do: and the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city and it shall be told thee what thou must do." (Acts 9:6)
